Threadless Barbells

Threaldess jewellery is held in by tension from the pin on the end being bent. To remove this jewellery, hold at either end and pull in opposite directions. To reinsert, insert the post from the back first, put the pin inside the post from the front and sqeeze the jewellery together.

Internally Threaded Straight, Curved and Circular Barbells

Both ends on these barbells can be removed simply by unscrewing. Remember, "righty - tighty, lefty - loosey." Wearing a pair of latex or nitrile gloves can help to give you extra grip.

Captive Bead Ring

The bead is held in by tension between the ends of the ring. To remove the bead, pull it our of place. To reinsert the bead, rest one dimple aginst the edge of the ring and push the other into place.

Fixed Bead Ring, Seam Ring and Decorative Seam Ring

These rings twist open. Hold the ring at 3 and 9 o'clock with the bead/seam at 12 o'clock and push/pull in opposite directions to torque the ring open, then the opposite action to close the ring. Do not pull the ring apart; this will warp the jewellery out of shape.

Hinge Ring / Clicker

These rings have a small section that is on a hinge. Gently pull the hinged section upwards from the ring and it will open.
