Suzanne began her piercing career in 2012, knowing from the start that this was more than a job. It was her purpose. She joined The Piercing Urge in 2015, and over the years has become one of the most respected professionals in Australia’s body piercing community.

Known for her thoughtful practise and deep anatomical knowledge, Suzanne specialises in advanced and intimate piercings, including genital placements across all genders and anatomies. She’s equally passionate about curated ear styling, where a full jewellery overhaul brings new life to your ears.

A lifelong advocate for safety, education, and ethical practice, Suzanne serves on the Board of Directors for the Australasian United Professional Piercers (AUPP), helps lead its annual conference, and volunteers on the Association of Professional Piercers (APP) Medical Committee and Body Jewelry Verification Program.

Her mentorship has helped shape the next generation of piercers, many of whom now work alongside her at The Piercing Urge. She’s taught and presented at national and international conferences, always with a focus on presenting knowledge in an easily digestible way.

After eight years working in and managing the studio, Suzanne became owner and director of The Piercing Urge in 2023. She now leads with a confident vision to honour the studio’s 30 year legacy while guiding it into a fabulous new era.

Adam has been piercing since 2008, and if you ask around the industry, his name comes up often. Known for his laid back energy, expert hands, and a sharp sense of humour, Adam brings nearly two decades of experience to every appointment. His style is relaxed, but his standards are high. 

He’s an expert in complex custom work. From custom industrials to bespoke components, layered chains, and intricate multi piece designs that most piercers wouldn’t even attempt. He has powerful technical ability, and his clients know they’re in the hands of someone who doesn’t just follow trends. He solves problems, refines details, and creates pieces that feel both expressive and engineered.

Beyond the studio, Adam is a multi time educator at national conferences, a long time Australasian United Professional Piercers (AUPP) volunteer, and a trusted mentor to many in the industry. He’s always been the kind of piercer others turn to for guidance, troubleshooting, and real talk about what quality actually means.

His approach is simple. Set clear expectations, deliver more than you promised, and never take yourself too seriously. Clients describe his energy as “dad vibes”, approachable, honest, and quietly elite.

Also yes, that was him on Taskmaster Australia. Ask him about it if you want a laugh. Or don’t, he probably brought memes either way.

Ruby began piercing in 2023 after moving to Melbourne to chase a career that felt more natural to her. She has always been drawn to body modification and how it can help people feel better about themselves even if she didn’t have many piercings before diving into the industry herself.

With a background in leadership roles and a natural ease with people, she quickly found her rhythm and fell in love with piercing. For Ruby, it’s all about creating a space where clients feel comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. She knows what it’s like to have an awkward piercing experience, and she’s here to make sure yours isn’t one of them.

She loves eyebrow and rook piercings, her cats, and any challenge that keeps things interesting. (Ask her about the time she accidentally became a “school safety risk” over some piercing equipment…it's a good story.)

Ever since she got a lip piercing for her 12th birthday, Korinne has absolutely loved piercing. Today she shares that passion with her clients by helping them feel more like themselves with piercings they’ve dreamed about for years.

After relocating from Tasmania, Korinne joined The Piercing Urge to pursue piercing at the highest standard, just like she’d always wanted to. She’s warm and down to earth, and clients describe her as the kind of piercer who feels like their friend. Korinne is especially passionate about safety and high quality jewellery, and loves to help people turn their ideas into something they’ll love for years to come.

Off the clock, she’s a crafting gremlin with a love for animals and disappearing into the world of games, YouTube, and handmade everything.

Kahlil didn’t fall into piercing by accident. He fought for it, patiently and persistently. After spending over a year trying to land an apprenticeship at The Piercing Urge, he joined the team in 2023. Since then he’s been dedicated and focused, absorbing knowledge fast and putting it to work with attention to precise details.

Clients trust him for his calm energy, clean technique, and dry sense of humour, often delivered right before a piercing to break the nerves. He’s dedicated to learning, developing and implementing the safest and highest quality practice, which is evident to any client who works with him.

Kahlil is especially interested in bold placements, solid jewellery, and the kind of piercings people still love ten years from now. He brings a deep respect for the history of body modification, a low tolerance for nonsense, and an energy that says: I’m here to do this right.

And outside the studio, he’s into sword fighting. Which feels about right.

Siobhan doesn’t just work in the front of house, she’s the reason everything runs smoothly. From the moment you walk in, she’s already tuned in: how long you’ve been waiting, which jewellery caught your eye, whether you need to go move your car or just want someone to make it all feel easy. Clients often say she’s the person who made them feel completely looked after, because she is.

With a sharp eye for detail and visual balance, Siobhan is always happy to help you find something you love. Whether it’s your first earring or the piece that ties your whole look together. Her styling instincts are warm and collaborative, rooted in helping you feel great in your own skin.

Behind the scenes, she’s the powerhouse. She notices everything, remembers everything, and makes sure the day flows for both clients and team. If something’s missing (a tool, a client, an earring ordered months ago…) she’s the one who finds it.

And if you’re ever unsure who she is, just look for the only person wearing colour. Siobhan brings warmth, coordination, and a little joy to everything she touches, making your visit not just smooth, but special.

She balances her studio role with a love for nature walks, live gigs, and crafting projects that leave her hands full and happy.

Lola may not be the one installing your jewellery, but chances are, she’s the reason it arrived in the first place. As the mastermind behind quotes, custom orders, and jewellery logistics at The Piercing Urge, Lola is the force keeping everything in motion. She’s the one who knows every hinge size, gem cut, and catalogue quirk by heart and she can tell you (with love) whether a custom piece is realistic, or a fantasy best left unmade.

With a brain full of gemstone colour theory and a soft spot for anything green (but not just any green), Lola is the team’s go-to for sourcing brilliance. She manages complex orders, liaises with suppliers, and builds every quote with intention. She balances her deep jewellery knowledge with just the right amount of dry humour and cryptid energy. She might not always be on the floor, but her work shapes an important part of the client experience.

Her love for this work is obsessive in the best way, whether she’s unboxing new arrivals, doing back end data input with secretarial speed, or chasing the elusive Morbius bat charm from BVLA. She’s a creature of detail and ritual, someone who can make even the most admin heavy task feel like magic.

Outside of work, Lola’s aesthetic is shaped by tattoos, bats, bugs, and video games, with a healthy dose of mischief. She lovingly refers to herself as the studio cryptid: mostly unseen, very essential, and quietly hoarding sapphires somewhere in the walls.
